Meet Lisa Seaman Anderson
Candidate for Carver County Commissioner – District 1
I’ve lived in Carver County for more than 20 years. My sons, Dylan and Payton, both graduated from Chaska High School! As young adults, they both serve in the military. I am a Leadership and Organization Development Consultant who creates innovative solutions that cultivate lasting success.
I partner with leaders to design and deliver custom solutions for:

My Accomplishments
- At Best Buy, I designed and implemented the corporate ethics program which was a major contributor in helping the company win the Minnesota Ethics Award.
- At Accenture, I served as the global program manager for a cultural change program to improve productivity through increased employee engagement.
- At RSM McGladrey, I created the strategy and infrastructure to develop and support women leaders, helping the company earn a spot on the 100 best companies for working women.
Eastern Carver County School Board
Serving nearly fourteen years on the Eastern Carver County School Board, three years as Chair and five years as Vice-Chair, has prepared me well for this Commissioner role.
During my school board tenure, I have:
- Shaped the financial and facilities plan of our district for the next 20 years
- Created efficiency by implementing $10M of cost containment over six years
- Approved a tax stabilization plan to bring predictability to taxpayers for school related taxes
- Worked side-by-side with union leaders to find solutions that meet the needs of students and teachers by implementing pay-for-performance and teacher evaluation systems
- Challenged the status quo by making difficult decisions like closing East Union Elementary School (This decision saved taxpayers millions of dollars of operational and deferred maintenance expenditures)
- Collaborated with a variety of stakeholders to advocate for what’s best for students
- Initiated conversations with multiple community members to better understand their perspective about what is needed to prepare students for the future of work
Public Service
My experience in public service taught me that leadership is not just about what you do, it is also about how you do it. As County Commissioner, my priority will be to engage with a variety of stakeholders and collaborate with:
- Community members to identify the changing needs of our families
- Fellow commissioners and community leaders to create a shared vision for Carver County
- The business community to expand our tax base and economic growth opportunities
- City leaders to identify infrastructure needs and housing solutions
- Non-profit and school leaders to develop solutions for those in need
- Carver County employees to create efficiencies and opportunities for automation

Community Activity
I am active in the community and enjoy the many amenities Carver County has to offer. I can be found walking and biking throughout the trails and neighborhoods of Chaska, and also enjoy golf, curling, pickleball, swimming, kayaking, snow skiing, ice skating, and working out. I’m an active volunteer member of Chanhassen Rotary, the SW Metro Chamber of Commerce, and previously served with the Carver County Health Partnership.
